Learning the way of the fu

I have a few questions sifu.
When you first started training how many hours (on average) would you say you spent on training?

When you train could you explain what you believe is most important such as; state of mind, intensity, etc.  In general what type of environment do you feel you get the most out of what you do.

Well i guess any insight you would like to share about training would be very much appreciated.

When I first started... I didn't train much at all.  That was the reason it took so long for me to reach Chamber 9.  However... once I became an 'Apprentice'; I trained as often as I could.  At nearly 10 years old I trained nearly 6-8 hours per day during the week and 12-16 hours a day on the Weekends or Holidays.  (My mother didn't like that)

I know it seems like a lot.  However, once you commit yourself to anything... you cannot leave it alone.  So to answer your question about environment; I would say that "State of Mind" is the most important.  Everything else will follow.  Don't you agree?  I mean... don't we "Develope the Mind through the Discipline of the Body"?
