Looks like no one really comes to the verbal kwoon now.  Well, I hope you guys read this.  Just wanted to say hi.  The Philadelpia area is pretty nasty.  Not much to talk about there.  Someone is already trying to recruit me into aikido.  I may go to a class, but I don't really think that's for me.  The drive here was pretty nice.  Well, have a merry christmas everyone or a happy whatever-you-celebrate.

I'm here! How long did the drive take you? Hey, I think that if it
looks at all interesting to you, try taking up some of the Aikido. It
might help you to relax a little more in your martial arts and teach
you to use your waist better.

I'm glad you reached your destination.  I assume that you are not very pleased about your location though.  Make the best of it.

Maybe you should consider what Dai-Sihing Sears suggested.  It couldn't hurt.  Maintain your Shaolin principles and training.  If nothing else... it should open new doors for you.

If you're near Phillidelphia (spelling?) it isn't 100% wretched because you have 3PW wrestling to attend.  We expect reports as to how it compares to SBAC wrestling.

I'm glad you made it there ok.  Come back soon.

Well, I'm not sure exactly how long the drive took but it took a lot longer than it should have.  I got lost somewhere in IL, then again somewhere in OH, then I got stuck in traffic in Philly.  All in all it took pretty much 16 hours.

By the way, I asked someone in OH if people there considered their state as being part of the midwest and they said that they do.

I went with my new bud into chinatown on friday to watch his Iaido and Aikido class.  Apparently their sensei is very well respected and very good.  The dojo was nice and big (just like some of their students, har har).  It was interesting to watch the Iaido.  The way it was explained to me is that it is the art of drawing a sword, cutting, and returning it to the scabbard.  Very simple, basic movements with well grounded, good footwork.  I didn't get to see all of the Aikido class but from what I did see that was interesting as well.  It's very similar to chin na.  It was interesting but I can't really see myself enrolling.  In a month or so I'm going to check out that seven mountains school.  There's also a southern mantis school in the area too.

Have a Merry Christmas everyone and I'll talk to you soon.

Meh, pretty decent.  My cousin just had a baby girl last night, I shaved my head, and I've found a pretty good Kung Fu school.  I haven't joined just yet but, maybe in a couple weeks.  They seem to be a very traditional and serious northern Shaolin 5 animal school.   I have a little job with no stress or anxiety involved.  Pretty sweet.  Hopefully, I'll be able to make it back there sometime soon.

By the way, is Atterberry in the Navy?

See ya,

Jason

I met the Sifu and can't remember his name but I'm sure it's somewhere on the webpage.

I've heard of these guys.  I'm not sure about the system details, but everything is worth trying.  You may like it.
