We will be conducting a "Hoi Gong" (Opening Eye) ceremony for two (2) more Fut San Lions in the Saint Louis Chapter school on April 5, 2005 @ 7:00 pm.

This will go in conjunction with our observance of "Qing Ming Jie" (Tomb Sweeping Day).  This is an auspicious day within Chinese Culture where we honor the deeds and sacrifices of our ancestors.

It is appropriate to celebrate 'new life' when we honor our lineage.  Every student from all of the chapters and charters are invited to attend.  You are welcome to bring a guest (family or friend).  However, we are not interested in bringing attention or using this as advertising for the schools.  This day is for us.

I am going to re-schedule this for 8:30pm instead of 7:00pm.  I forgot that Guro Craig uses the 'Training Hall' between 6:30 and 8:30pm on Tuesdays.

We are going to need both the Kwoon and the Training Hall to do this ceremony and I would rather not interfere with his class.  Besides... it gives everyone a chance to be there.

Also, there will be a few VIPs for the Hoi Gong and the ceremony for our ancestors.  I am hoping that the Priestess from the St. Louis Buddhist Temple will be there for a blessing.

Great
job everyone!  I wanted to thank all of the Troupe members for
making this ceremony a fond moment in my life.  I wasn't looking
for any publicity from this event, but it looks like I can't stop it.

Everyone there seemed to enjoy themselves and I hope that my words of
'Ohana' helped everyone to understand what our organization is trying
to accomplish.

The Chinese Association and the Taiwanese Association has now confirmed that our Troupe is the only choice that they will make.

I wanted to thank all the members of the kwoon for the hospitality and friendship. We were honored to be guest. If more martial artist shared your honor, talent and respect, the martial community would prosper.
