greetings, I was just wondering if you guys were looking forward to the upcoming St.Louis Tournament in Sept. I for one feel that it will be great for the Metro-St.Louis area/region. Ok, just wondering what your thoughts were on this event. Ron Davenport.

Thanks Truenoir, I was just wondering. We are really looking forward to this event! I know that not everyone is interested for one reason or another, but hopefully all the schools in our area will step in and help support the cause. We were actually thinking about late this winter doing somewhat of a small closed tournament for schools here in Illinois & Missouri, with hopes to building up to a grander event. Who knows, I was planning on making a decision after Sifu Adam's event rather to persue such an activity. Well ok, hope to see you guys/gals there as well.
Take Care.
Ron Davenport.

Sifu Cabais, Yeah, the judges meeting is scheduled for 9:30am on the 24th at the jamestown sports complex. Sifu Adams has a 7pm meeting at his school on Saturday the 23rd for members to gather things for the tournament. Then their going to head up to the tounament site to set up. This is all I've heard since withdrawing from the judges committee due to competing in multiple dividsions.

Sifu Cabais, did you get any further info on the judges meetings? Are you going to have many students competing or are you primarily going to judge? We're hoping to have around 15 of our students performing, hopefully a few more. I'm not sure of the size of this event since its a first for our area, but either way, it should be alot of fun. Alright, talk to you guys later.

There is no word yet. I'm sure Sifu Adams and his people are busy. I'm not sure how many of our students are going to compete. Not many. I informed Sifu Adams that we would help in any way that we can. Actually... I told him that he could use as many people from our organization as slaves. In other words... whatever he needs. No matter how trivial.

Oh, Ok. I am pretty much out of the judging circle, lol, or whatever you would call it since I've withdrawn from judging. I know Sifu Adams has many judges coming from out of state as well. I'm sure there's always room for more!!!!! always is. Anywho, I look forward to seeing most everyone from the area. At least those who will attend, competing or not. Sifu Cai will be doing a seminar that morning from 830am to 930am on shaolin temple mi quan (shaolin temple secret fighting methods) if anyone at your school is interested let me know. ok, talk to you guys later.

Hey all, I've been doing a survey on the past tournament, talking to competitors, judges, and spectators about what everyone thought about the competition. So, what is your take on this event?

Oh, by the way, Sifu Randy Li and myself stopped by your school on Sunday. I dont know why I thought you guys had classes on Sunday's. We were at LuLu Chinese Seafood Resteraunt there in U-city, he mentioned that he had talked with you at the tournament, but had to cut the conversation short due to judging or something. He wanted to tslk with you more, but he couldn't find you later that afternoon. Anywho, He be back in St.Louis in a few months, maybe we can stop by then.

Hey all, I've been doing a survey on the past tournament, talking to competitors, judges, and spectators about what everyone thought about the competition. So, what is your take on this event? I thought it was fantastic to have most of the Kung Fu schools in the area get together for one common theme/event. Even though I love all Martial Arts… Kung Fu systems have always been placed in a special part of my heart. I truly pray that this tournament has opened the door for further ‘Brotherhood and Unity” between the different Kung Fu families here in the Midwest. The more gatherings we have together, the more we can all learn and learn to appreciate each other. It was also nice to see Sifu Judge and his Lion Dance Team demonstrating their skills. Sifu Judge, you deserve more than a plaque. I am glad that Sifu Adams decided to do this. I know I would not want to. The amount of time needed to organize something like that is more than I am willing to give. I thought he did great for his first time. Congratulations to Sifu Larry Adams & the Wu Hsing Chuan Five Animal Academy! Twenty-Five years in Saint Louis, Missouri is an impressive accomplishment.

He has a fantastic sense of humor and I can tell that he loves Kung Fu. A great combination! Sifu Davenport, you have always been welcome here at this school. As is any other Sifu that wishes to visit. All I ask is please let me know ahead of time by phone or message.
