All,

 

We are officially 30 days away from our annual "Chinese New Year Celebration & In-School Tournament" on Saturday, 16 February 2008 @ 10:00 am.  This year will be a bit different from last year.  If you have been with the school for awhile; you will notice what is different.

 

Schedule of Events:

 

10:00 AM - Sifu's "Welcome Speech"

10:15 AM - 2007 (4705) Achievements & News

10:15 AM - Opening Ceremony (Lion Dance by 2007 competition winners)

10:45 AM - Introduction of all Instructors

11:00 AM - Lunch is Served

12:00 PM - Martial Arts Demonstrations

12:30 PM - Demo Team Competitions

  1:30 PM - Celebration Closing Statements

  1:45 PM - Instructor's Tournament Meeting

  2:00 PM - Ancestor's Ceremony

  2:30 PM - Tournament Begins

 

TOURNAMENT DETAILS:  ($10.00 per division)


  • Novice Forms
  • Beginner Forms
  • Intermediate Forms
  • Open Weapons
  • Instructor Forms/Weapons
  • Weapons Sparring (Open Rank) -- Must compete in at least one other division to be eligible for this division.
  • Novice Sparring (2 x minutes)
  • Beginner Sparring (1.5 x minutes)
  • Intermediate "Lun Da" Sparring (1 x minute)
  • Ma Bu (Horse Stance) - Grand Championships -- Must compete in at least one other division to be eligible for this division.

Awards for the Winner's of each division.  Also, family and guests are allowed to spectate the tournament.  See you all there!
