OPT Fund Drive

We have a new fund drive coming up for Ozarks Public Television.

I know I'm a little late at getting this posted, largely due to distractions with a computer.  And a missing cell phone has kept me from contacting people otherwise.  I had hoped to catch more people at our training sessions but haven't seen many.

The fun drive runs from Thursday, 5/29 until Sunday, 6/8.  They are 3 or 4 hour shifts where free food is available.  Just some easy answering of phones.

I know that Andi and Erik are out of town and basically unavailable.  Dylan has limited options too.  Is anyone else around that can help out so we can schedule a group?  We need at least four of us to be getting the on-air recognition, so I really need some commitments.  Also, I need to arrange something early this week for their scheduling, for that on-air recognition at least.

To avoid conflict with our class in St. Louis I think the best times would be Saturday, 5/31 or Sunday, 6/1 or 6/8.  I think Saturday is best for Dylan?

Shifts would be 12-4pm, 4-7pm or 7-10pm on Sat.

We could have Dylan's class at perhaps 6pm on Saturday about 5:30pm and then have dinner after at the OPT drive from 7-10pm?  It is on the MSU campus.

With the trouble getting hold of people and the general scarceness of people over the summer what I'm going to do is sign up personally, not as a group, for a couple of times.

After I get them set (tomorrow, hopefully) I'll post the times and the phone number to OPT.  If anyone else can commit to the same time it would be great to hang out.  If you can make another time that would be good too.

I have personally signed up for the 4pm-7pm shifts for Saturday 5/31 and Sunday 6/1, as OPT really needs people for that weekend.

If you would like to join me, please call OPT to sign up.  You can mention you're with the Shaolin School of Kung Fu and mention my name, though I don't think that matters much right now.

If you can't make those times I certainly recommend asking about others.  It's 3 or 4 hours at a time with free food.
